Las Vegas police say that drunk driving associated with last night’s Super Bowl caused at three car accidents across the city that injured several people and left another person dead. According to an article released by 8 News Now, the first accident happened at 8:40 PM Sunday night on Rainbow Boulevard.

Reports say that the six-car accident caused one vehicle to hit a building and another to roll over and catch on fire. One victim was declared dead at the scene. The driver responsible for the crash was arrested on suspicion of DUI and charges against him are pending.

A female drunk driver is responsible for injuring a 15-year-old boy after her Acura hit the teen at a bus stop near Spring Mountain and El Camino Roads last night. The boy remains in critical condition at University Medical Center.

Another intoxicated woman rolled her vehicle last night near the intersection of Clayton Street and Ranch House Road while she was speeding. Luckily, no one was injured.

A 62-year-old man died in a Las Vegas, Nevada, motorcycle accident yesterday afternoon. According to 8 News Now, the single-vehicle crash occurred at around 6:30 PM along a stretch of US-95, near Anne Road.

Nevada highway patrol confirmed that the man was with two other bikers yesterday as they headed northbound. The two other riders got ahead of the man though, leaving him alone. Troopers say that then, for an unknown reason, the biker veered off the side of the highway and lost control of the bike. The impact of the crash ejected the rider from the bike and threw him to the asphalt. The injured biker was taken to University Medical Center, where he later died of complications.

A chemistry experiment gone wrong that caused a fire at a Clark County High School left seven staff members in need of medical treatment and sent another to the hospital Thursday. According to 8 News Now, firefighters got the call from Faith Lutheran High School around 12:30 PM.

Officials with the Clark County Fire Department say the two hot plates cooking chemicals burst into flames in a classroom where students were conducting experiments. The room was overcome by smoke and the school was promptly evacuated when the fire alarm went off. In all, seven faculty and staff members were treated at the scene for smoke inhalation, while a maintenance worker was taken to Summerlin Hospital for treatment.

An alleged drunken driver responsible for hitting and killing a 12-year-old girl on Halloween night was released on bail this morning. According to 8 News Now, the judge put several stipulations in place for the release.

The judge stated during the 41-year-old suspect’s hearing that he must remain under house arrest, cannot drive, and must wear an alcohol sensor bracelet.

According to the arrest report of the incident, the accident happened around 8:22 PM at the intersection of Sandstone Bluffs and Wesley Lake in Las Vegas, Nevada, on Halloween night. The driver admitted to arresting officers that he was speeding and did not see the girl attempting to cross at the corner of the street. Officers suspected that the driver was under the influence. Field sobriety tests were conducted-which the man failed-and he was arrested.

Once at the station, a breath alcohol test was given to the suspect. He blew a .67 and .68, just below the legal limit of .08. Officers then called in a drug recognition expert who determined the man was under the influence of an analgesic narcotic and alcohol.

The man admitted in court that he was on prescription medication at the time because of an earlier slip and fall accident.
