The Reno Gazette-Journal reported that a man was arrested Friday after being accused by police of hitting a teenager in a crosswalk and leaving the scene of the Nevada auto accident. The 59-year-old man is accused of hitting the young girl in a marked crosswalk and driving around her to leave the scene.
The 14-year-old Reno auto accident victim was being treated Monday for serious head injuries, according to police. The girl was crossing the street at 5:36 p.m. when two vehicles yielded the right-of-way to let her cross and she was hit by another car.
The driver was also arrested on suspicion of felony DUI.
